What it is like to arrive here.

An aire de services on the edge of the Broceliande forest, free, and open all year round at any hour. The last part is worth noticing, because most inland Breton aires shut their services over the winter.

Destination Broceliande, the local tourist board, states that the aire de service de camping-car at Beignon is open 24 hours a day and all year, and that it is free. The OSM record agrees, tagging the site as not seasonal.

What is actually here

Toilets, a water connection, a waste dump point and a picnic area, on an asphalt surface, with 10 spaces according to the tourist board listing.

There is no electric hook-up, so plan on your own power. Showers are not listed either way, so do not count on one.

The address is Allee de l’Epinay, on the Route de Paimpont.

Where it sits

Beignon is in the far east of the Morbihan, right on the edge of the Foret de Paimpont, the woodland usually marketed as Broceliande after the Arthurian legends attached to it. That is what brings visitors: the forest, the walking trails, and the sites around Paimpont village to the north.

The other thing in this corner of the map is the Camp de Coetquidan at Guer next door, the French army’s officer academy. It is a large working military estate, so some of the land around here is not open ground, and you will see military traffic on the local roads. Not a problem, just not what people expect from a forest stopover.

Beignon itself is a village. The tourist board notes the aire is close to the town’s services and to walking trails, which is the practical case for stopping here rather than pushing on into the forest.

Before you rely on this

Check the tourist board listing linked below before you count on the 24/7, all year claim. Water points get purged in a hard frost whatever the listing says, and a free aire with no time limit posted is a candidate for one being added.
